Snow Day

Just kidding, no school because it is still summer vacation.

February 24th and Emily will be back at Roosevelt for her last semester of her senior year.  She and the rest of the seniors will actually only attend classes for two months.  Then they have mock exams and the actual IB exams.  Graduation is the end of May.

The next four+ months will probably fly by with so much going on, including moving back to the USA.  Lonny and I are super excited about his retirement 2.0.  Emily definitely has Senioritis but also dreads her Peru experience coming to an end.

I forgot about last year's National Honor Society induction ceremony.  They stood in alphabetical order so Emily is at the end of the line, fortunately so were some friends.  They held those lit candles while repeating a pledge and I was sure someone's hair was going to catch on fire.

Ashley from church was also honored.

Maybe I should also mention the time that Emily won for outstanding Spanish Foreign Language student as well.  The competition was light since the student population sways 70% Peruvian.  But, there was an engraved plaque in the deal.
